Actress Sonam Kapoor had gone confronted condemnation from right-wing Hindutva brigade following news surfaced that Anil Kapoor’s daughter got married as per Sikh customs.
It has been more than 2 weeks since Sonam tied the nuptial knot to Anand Ahuja, but nobody seems to be in the mood to let go of the buzz surrounding their union. All things including the dress, jewels, stylists, guest lists, and cuisines have been discussed repeatedly.
Shortly after getting married, she modified her name on social media as she replaced Kapoor with Ahuja. She has been following all the rituals and in recent times, Sonam was witnessed sporting even a mangalsutra.
There also is a tale after Sonam’s mangalsutra, specifically designed by Sonam herself. Her manglasutra is a star signed one and its special finishing is conducted by Usheeta Rawtani.
She clarified the tale after Sonam’s mangalsutra, “A mangalsutra is a sacred necklace that a groom ties around a brides neck in an Indian wedding ceremony. This one was especially designed by the bride (@sonamkapoor) herself and executed by us. It has symbols of both their star signs. Hers being Gemini (on the left) and his Leo (on the right) these are complemented by a Solitaire in the centre.”
Recently, in one of Sonam’s high fashion insta images that she added while promoting her upcoming flick Veere Di wedding, Sonam put on a beautiful, red-white combination costume. Her dress was going well with black pumps and a leather box bag. The thing that was looking awkward was the mangalsutra that got wrapped around Mrs. Ahuja’s left wrist.
