After the good theatrical response from the audience, the Marathi movie “Andya Cha Funda” has been officially selected in the 26th China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival for the best screenplay which is written by the hit trio- Ganesh Pandit, Ambar Hadap and Shripad Joshi.
Andya Cha Funda is a story about two kids- Andya and Fundya, who are best of friends and can do anything for one another. Andya is a studious, well mannered, sophisticated boy and excellent in extra curricular activities. He is a boy who stands 1st in class and wins all competitions. Fundya on the other hand, is a full too filmy boy, a big fan of shahrukh khan, not so good in studies and neither interested… but he is smart and intelligent and is an expert in jugadu things. Both the boys just cannot do without one another. If Andya saves Fundya from the teacher by sharing his homework book, then Fundya saves Andya from the boys who trouble and harras him. There is a strong and deep bond of friendship between the two..They are inseparable.
The movie Andya Cha Funda is purely based on the concept of true and pure friendship. Fundya dies in an accident and comes back in the form of a ghost. He comes back as he has an unfulfilled wish…and Fundya knows, that no one but his best friend Andya will help him in fulfilling his wish. He can be seen by only Andya.
The movie is “A journey to find out truth”, truth behind various hidden secrets. A truth that Fundya needs to find out. A murder mystery that he needs to solve.
This thriller-suspense-comedy movie is written and directed by Santosh Shetty and produced by Vijay Shetty under the banner of Adhya’s Creations. The movie has kid actors Atharva Bedekar, Shubham Parab and Mrunal Jadhav as the main protagonists along with Deepa Parab Chaudhari and Arun Nalavade and Sushant Shelar in supporting roles.
