Favoritism, ability or a combination of both… it’s raining celeb kids in the Hindi film industry. From veteran beauty Sridevi, romantic star Shah Rukh Khan, Bebo’s hubby Saif Ali Khan, vivacious Chunky Pandey to mostly about everyone’s child wishes to showcase talent on the big screen.
And viewers know, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s loving and elegant daughter, Janhvi is all set to make her entry in the Hindi film industry opposite Shahid Kapoor’s step brother Ishaan Khattar in none other than Karan Johar’s production Dhadak.
The movie is being helmed by ace personality Shashank Khaitan.
After a few months of meetings and preparations, the young guns moved to the state of Rajasthan during the last week to initiate the initial schedule of their splendid debut. Caring mom Sridevi was with her daughter Janhvi on the sets of the movie.
At the Reliance Digital Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards, the sexy host Neha Dhupia asked the veteran beauty what it like was for her sweet daughter on the initial day of shoot.
To which the charming actress jokingly answered that her daughter asked her to sit within the vanity van and not visit the film set as that would turn her tense. She also stated that she’s eager for her Janhvi’s debut and is thankful for all the back up the young girl finds.
Dhadak is the Hindi remake of the Marathi runaway success Sairaat and will hit theaters late next year. Sairat narrates the love tale of an upper caste lasso who started loving a boy belonging to lower caste. The film, directed by Nagraj Manjule, turned out to be a big hit and declared as the best grossing Marathi movies ever, making an anticipated Rs 110 crores in international collections.
Janhvi might be just about all set to make her debut, but she is a bonafide celebrity before now, if her Instagram handle and her attendance at a number of awards gatherings and fashion shows are anything to pass by.
Dhadak’s male lead Ishaan Khatter, in the meantime, has already finished a movie with well known Iranian director Majid Majidi called Beyond the Clouds. The movie will mark his Bollywood entry. Ishaan also bagged the best actor award at International Bosphorus Film Festival in Turkey for his recital in Majidi’s movie. The actor dedicated the honor to his mom Neelima Azim and his film maker Majidi.
