Smoking is a practice in which a substance is burned and the resulting smoke breathed in to be tasted and absorbed into the bloodstream. Some people smoke to release the hyper tensions in their life, some people smoke to maintain their standard among their high culture society.
In some cultures, smoking is also carried out as a part of various rituals, where participants use it to help induce trance-like states that, they believe, can lead them to “spiritual enlightenment”.

As per survey report 900,000 people die every year in India due to smoking as of 2009.
