The Derweze Crater in Turkmenistan has been burning from over 4 decades. The crater which is 225 feet wide and 99 feet deep is popularly known as “door to hell”. Julian then started to hang the dolls he found floating near the canals on tree to please the spirit of the drowned girl. It is said he died of heart attack near the same river where the girl died.
