Finally, the moment has come when Salman Khan himself announced that Katrina Kaif will be the one who’s playing the female lead in Bharat. Katrina Kaif will join the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Bharat’s shooting in September. Salman who took to Twitter to address Katrina’s welcome in the movie in his own style wrote that “Ek sundar aur shusheel ladki jiska Naam hai Katrina Kaif …. Swagat hai aapka #Bharat ki zindagi mein …”

Now, Katrina Kaif will be seen playing the role with five different age roles as Salman scripted in the movie. Katrina has been approached for the film after Priyanka Chopra walked out of Bharat for some personal reasons-addressed by the producer of the film.
Suggested by the reports Priyanka Chopra is engaged with her alleged boyfriend from Hollywood, Nick Jonas. Director Ali Abbas announced the same on Twitter with a hint of wedding bells for Priyanka and Nick as “Nick of time” and that’s is why PC left the movie.
While Priyanka left her fans disappointed, Katrina comes to the rescue of project Bharat with Salman Khan and this already excites the fans of Salman-Katrina who would love to see them together.
Earlier the sources of a leading daily reported that Katrina Kaif was called for the movie Bharat as she shares a warm relationship with the makers. Sources said, “Producers Atul and Alvira Agnihotri share a warm relationship with Katrina Kaif and when this whole mishap happened, they just called her and sorted out her dates. She will play the lead opposite Salman Khan now”. As per reports, Kareena Kapoor Khan was also in the running but apparently, she had already given her dates to another film. “Katrina will join the team in September onwards, and before that, she will finish all her other work commitments”.
The makers of Bharat also cleared the rumours of ‘why Priyanka left the film’ to rest by saying “These allegations are simply not true. How can anyone allege that Priyanka’s role was chopped in the film? Bharat is based on the Ode To My Father, which is the highest grossing film in Korean history. So obviously the roles have been allocated as per the original film. She knows the script of the film”.
However, everyone said something for Priyanka’s walking out the film, Salman remained silent. All the rumours are put to an end when Salman tweeted about Priyanka’s replacement.
