Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan is one of the most popular star couples of Bollywood. Love blossomed between the duo while shooting for one of their films and the couple after dating for a while got married in 2007.
Aishwarya and Abhishek appeared in several movies together. And now fans are eagerly waiting for the couple to be back together on the silver screens once again.
And now, here’s good news for all the die-hard fans of this Bachchan couple. The former Miss World has confirmed doing a movie with his hubby dearest after 8 long years. The film is titled Gulab Jamun.
The Fanney Khan actress confirmed the same during her media interaction with a leading news portal and stated, “AB and I agreed to do Gulab Jamun. I told AB that he needs to decide what he wants to do after Manmarziyan.”
Ash said that while the script had come to them about a year and a half back. However, they couldn’t decide as Abhishek was keen on taking a break. Once, the chatter about the film began again, she asked him to decide and that’s when he came around.
Talking further about Gulab Jamun, the Bachchan Bahu said it is a lovely script and that Abhishek and she fitted the bill perfectly.
“The script had to be interesting if a real-life couple is coming together.”
On the professional front, Aishwarya is gearing up for her upcoming film Fanney Khan’s release which also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles. The film will release on 4thAugust.
Meanwhile, Abhishek who took a two year sabbatical will be seen in Manmarziyan which is directed by Anurag Kashyap and also stars Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. The movie is slated to release in September.
Ash and Abhi have previously worked in films like Guru, Kuch Naa Kaho Umrao Jaan, Raavn, Dhoom 2, Dhaai Aksar Prem Ke, Sarkar Raj. Aishwarya also did an item number Kajra Re in Abhishek starrer Bunty Aur Babli.
