2. Related to Lord Brahma!!
Ravana is the great grandson of Lord Brahma. He was born to famous sage Vishrava and Daitya Princess Kaikesi making him half-demon. Sage Vishrava was born to Prajapati Pulastya, who is a one of the 10 mind born sons of Lord Brahma.
3. He did yagna for Lord Ram!!
At that time, Ravana was the most learned Pandit ever. So he was invited to perform the commencement puja for the setu that Lord Rama and his army built. The puja was done to worship Lord Shiva. Ravana couldn’t refuse the offer since he was his follower.

It is believed that he had a keen interest in music and was an excellent veena player.

8. Shamed by his wife!!
When Rama’s army was slowly defeating Ravana’s army, and he was the only one left alive, Ravana decided to perform a powerful yagya to turn the tide. But it required him not to leave his spot. Seeing this, Rama sent Angad, Bali’s son who dragged Ravana’s wife, Mandodari. Who, in defence, screamed at him and shamed him by telling how Rama was fighting a war to get his wife back while Ravana wasn’t moving from his spot to save his wife. Ravana finally moved, leaving his yagya incomplete.
