Kapil Sharma’s much-awaited film Firangi has finally hit the silver screens today. Fans were quite eager to watch Kapil on the celluloid after a gap of two years. This is Kapil’s second Bollywood venture and he has received immense love from the fans for Firangi.
The biggest reason to watch this film is Kapil himself as he is the star of the film. Secondly, we would get to see Kapil’s rib-tickling comic timing in the movie for which he is so famous. So, in short, it will be a two and half hours of roller coaster laughter ride.
Earlier, Bollywood has witnessed a number of movies based on pre-independence era but the turning point for Firangi is that it brings in a comic element to the entire thing which makes it more special.
The movie also gives us a new outlook towards patriotism. Unlike previous Bollywood heroes, Manga in Firangi is one who firmly believes in the British empire but only initially, of course. The film brings out Manga’s change of heart through its interesting plot.
From the sets to the overall atmosphere created during the British period, everything is spot on and we truly love that.
All in all, Firangi is a complete family entertainer with lots of comic moments that will make you laugh.
The movie definitely deserves 3.5 stars.
Directed by Rajiev Dhingra, Firangi also stars Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill.
