Padmavati : Community announces 5 crores reward to behead Deepika and Bhansali
The most controversial film of the year 2017 Padmavati is facing aggressive opposition by several communities throughout the nation. The violent steps taken by the protestors is getting uglier day by day.

A community named Rajput Karni Sena, which openly attacked Bhansali last year in Jaipur and created massive violence in Noida a couple of days ago, is now frightening to hurt the Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone playing the lead role in Padmavati. The Karni Sena threatened to chop the nose of Deepika referring to ‘Surpanakha’, a couple of more threats have been issued by the communities around the nation.

One more community which is opposing Padmavati from Meerut named Brahmin Mahasabha had sent a petition written with blood to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and openly announced a bounty of Rs 5 crores for Bhansali’s head.
And now, a Thakur leader from the city has also involved lead actress Deepika Padukone’s name on the list.
Anyone who brings the head of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone will be rewarded with Rs 5 crore. Rani Padmavati had sacrificed her life with 12,000 other women in mass immolation (Jauhar), and Bhansali has raised a question on her courage by showing her in a bad light in his film. This is unacceptable. Either both of them should leave the country or get ready to be beheaded,” Thakur Abhishek Som, national president of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Yuva Mahasabha, was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
Apart from this, the film is facing opposition from several leaders from BJP, Congress and other communities have demanded that the film be banned.
The Apex court had denied the stay the release, leaving the decision to the CBFC’s court, with the makers submitting the film to the board a few days back.
The producers have also accepted to screen the film to a panel consisting of leading leaders of some of the angry communities.
‘Padmavati’ is scheduled to release on December 1.
