Model-actor Sonika Chauhan was killed on Saturday morning in a road accident, after her car hit the divider and climbed the pavement on Rashbehari Avenue in south Kolkata. Sonika was travelling with Bengali actor friend Vikram Chatterjee, who was on the driving seat.According to sources, Bikram himself was driving a white Toyota (WB12C9755) when he lost control at Rashbehari avenue. The car crashed into the divider on the road and turned topsy-turvy.

While Sonika was pronounced dead around 5AM, Vikram, who sustained injuries on head, leg and other parts of body, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
A hospital doctor updated about Vikram’s health condition.

He said the actor was stable now and had been shifted to general bed after a CT scan.
