Most parents enjoy being able to spoil their kids every once in a while, so when 8-year-old, Johnny, asked for a cool laser pen toy he’d seen at his sister’s science fair, his mom, Angela, agreed to buy it. However, Angela found herself regretting her decision shortly after the purchase. While playing with the toy, Johnny, shined the laser into his eye which resulted in permanent eye damage and a severe loss of sight. Although laser pointers can be fun when used properly, they can have harmful effects if people aren’t properly educated on how to use them.
